Little Harbour Cay
Little Harbour, Abaco, An Unspoiled And Secluded Escape
Years ago, quaint Little Harbour, Bahamas was only accessible by boat, but, due to the recent development of roadways, it is now accessible by car from Marsh Harbour. Another of the Abacos under-populated yet uniquely interesting places, Little Harbour has been appreciated for decades by Abaconians, yachtsmen, travelers, and serious art collectors. The most significant attraction is the Johnston Studios & Art Foundry, housing the artwork of Randolph v Johnston, internationally known for his wax-casting bronze sculptures. Pete's Pub, a treasured waterfront, open-air restaurant run by Randolph Johnston's son Pete, is also located in Little Harbour. The Pub is actually fashioned out of the pilothouse and deck-house of the sailing ship "Langosta", one of the Johnston family's original live-aboards.
Diving, snorkeling, shelling, cave exploring are just of a few of the pastimes in Abaco Little Harbour. You'll need plenty of local knowledge to get into the Harbour, or lots of skilled seamanship and an excellent eye for Bahamian waters. However, it's well worth the extra effort!
