What time is check-in / check-out?

Our check-in time is 3pm and our check-out time is 11am. These times are flexible depending on occupancy.

Do you have an airport shuttle?

We do not have an airport shuttle. There are taxis readily available at the airport or we are happy to arrange pick-up for you. Contact concierge@abacobeachresort.com

Can we get late check-out?

We can accept late check-out on a case-to-case basis and depending how busy we are. Please check with the Front Desk.

Are pets allowed?

We are a pet friendly hotel and accept cats & dogs in our hotel rooms. Each pet needs to be registered at the Front Desk and a $100 fee per pet per night will be added to the guest bill. There is no weight or size limit.

Do you have parking?

Yes, we do have complimentary parking on property.

Do you have a fitness center?

Yes, we do have a fitness room with treadmills, walkers, & bikes. There are also various weights available.

How many rooms do you have?

We have currently a total of 97 rooms, including suites & Condo residences.

Do you have a Kids Club?

Depending on the time of the year, we do have our unique Bahamas Buddies program. Led by the resort activities team and Friends of the Environment, Bahama Buddies offers visiting children the opportunity to learn about island life from a resident child ambassador. The newly paired buddies will spend the daytime participating in authentic island activities like arts & crafts, coconut husking, catching, cleaning, and cooking fish, and also learn about the island by exploring on foot, bike, and by sea.

Do you have a spa?

No, we currently do not have a spa. We are working with on call therapists, who are happy to provide various services in-room, on patio or beachfront. Just contact us at concierge@abacobeachresort.com to inquiry about availability.

Do you have a golf car rental?

No, we do not rent golf carts.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, we do have complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property.

Do you have a pool?

Yes, we do have two pools on property. One heated pool is situated at the Pool Bar & Terrace at Marinaville restaurant close to the Marina and is livelier with music. The other pool is located in the garden area close to the beach & main hotel area, which is usually quieter & perfect to relax.

Do you have a car rental service on property?

No, we do not have a car rental on property, but we work closely with third party companies. We are happy to assist in renting a car while on island. For any inquiries, please contact concierge@abacobeachresort.com

Do you have elevators?

The main hotel does not have an elevator. We only have a small elevator at the Condo residences.

Are the pools heated?

The main pool at the Terrace Restaurant is heated to 77F. The Garden Pool is not heated but due to its smaller size, always a pleasant temperature.

How long is the front desk open?

We have a 24-hour front desk.

How many restaurants do you have on site?

We have two restaurants on site. The Bistro, open on select days & only for dinner provides both indoor and outdoor seating in a chic and modern space with views of the beach, garden pool, and ocean. The Pool Bar & Terrace at Marinaville serves both breakfast, lunch, and dinner including poolside snacks and drinks that can be enjoyed all day every day of the week.

What time is the fuel dock open?

Depending on the daylight hours the fuel dock is either open from 8am-5pm or 8am-6pm in the summer. Times vary during tournaments.

How long is the marina office open?

Depending on the daylight hours our marina office is either open from 9am-5pm or during busy summer months from 8am-8pm. Times vary during tournaments.

How many boats fit in your marina?

We have a total of 200 marina slips.

Can I rent a boat from you?

We do not own a boat that can be rented by our guests, however we can assist with renting a boat for the day to do some island hopping or fishing. Please reach out to concierge@abacobeachresort.com for some options.

What power & fuel do you provide for boats?

Single Phase 30 AMP (120/240V), 50 AMP (120/240V), 100 AMP (120/240V) and 3 Phase 100 AMP (480V). We have both gas & diesel available at the fuel dock, also various types of engine oils. For more info contact: harbour.master@abacobeachresort.com

Can I clear customs at the marina if I arrive by boat?

Yes, you can clear customs at the marina.

Are there any entry requirements/restrictions?

At the moment there are no entry requirements & restrictions for travel to the Bahamas. It is recommended that your passport is valid for at least six more months on the day of travel.

Do I need a passport to come to Abaco?

Yes, you need a passport.

Are you closing for any time during the year?

We are open year-round.

What is the name of the closest airport?

Leonard M. Thompson International Airport, formerly known as The Marsh Harbour International Airport (MHH) is just a five-minute taxi ride away from the resort.

Can I host events or conferences at your property?

No matter what event you’re planning in the Abacos, we have you covered. Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Marina offers event space and planning assistance be it a wedding, honeymoon, vow renewal, family get-together, conference, or meeting. Please inquire about group room bookings and packages to simplify the process of planning your next Bahamas special event or celebration. What is your busiest season?

Our busiest season is considered from April-July.

Is the water in the hotel drinkable?

Yes, the water is safe to drink.

Is there a supermarket in walking distance?

There is a small convenience store called Dockside right at the entrance of the resort. Larger supermarkets like Maxwell’s and Abaco Groceries are a 4-6 minute car ride away.

What water sports do you offer on the beach?

We offer a variety of non-motorized water sports such as kayaks, snorkeling gear, and paddle boards.

Do you have security?

We have 24-hour security.

Does the hotel have a laundry?

We do provide laundry services at a cost. Alternatively, we have washing machines on site, which can be used with laundry tokens supplied by the Front Desk/Marina Office.

Do the rooms have microwaves?

Our Condo Residences and Suites are equipped with full kitchens or kitchenettes including a microwave. For all other room categories, we do not provide microwaves.

Do the rooms have safes?

All our rooms have safes.

What type of pillows are in the rooms?

Most of our pillows are a continuous poly fill, extra plump and some are lyocell pillows, which is a hypo-allergenic feather pillow with a protective outer shell that eliminates any allergies. We do not have any feather pillows.

What amenities do you have?

We have Molton Brown amenities.

Do you have irons?

Yes, all our rooms are equipped with an iron and an ironing board.

What is the Bahamian dollar equivalent to the US dollar?

You can pay with US dollars in the Bahamas. The conversion rate is 1:1

How far of a walk is it to town?

We are located right in Marsh Harbour so town is just a five-minute walk away depending what you are looking for.

Is there a dive shop on property?

We do not have a dive shop on property.

Do you have ATMs on property?

We do not have an ATM on property. The closest one is at the Commonwealth Bank or RBC, which is a four-minute car ride, or 20-minute walk away.

Does the resort have outdoor grilling facilities?

No, we do not have any outdoor grilling facilities.
